The partners of Up Marine knew each other via yacht racing. And it was through the discussion of building extreme performance sailing craft that sprouted the establishment of a business building sailboats and to do yacht distribution: Up Marine executives are experienced and accredited boat designer, yacht distributor, self-made successful businessmen with the vision and capacity to bring boating to the next height in Hong Kong and China.

Executive Director – Jason Mok
Jason Mok is the Executive Director of Up Marine as well as the founder and Managing Director of Capital Union Investments. Prior to this position, he was Chief Investment Officer of International Media Group, one of the first Chinese broadband content providers and sat on the board numbers of investment portfolio, representing the key interests of a number of high net worth investors. Jason currently represents the investment interest of a number of Hong Kong's wealthiest high net worth individuals and currently sits on the board of XingZhi Education. He has over 10 years of operating experience in the Internet Industry and investment in Greater China. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University.

General Manager – Joseph Chan (Joe)
Joe has been closely tied to the Marine industry since 1995 and has achieved excellent results in yachts distribution business. Being the principal operator for distribution of Chris Craft during 2005-2011 and Princess Yachts during the period 2005 to 2009, he sold over 30 Chris Crafts and almost 70 Princess Yachts (sold V85, 85MY and 95MY after the Lehman Brother saga) as well as brokered over 100 boats in the region. Prior to starting his career in the Marine industry, Joe has also been an active sailor since 1987. He participated in regional games such as Asian Championships and Asian Games from 1989 to 1998 as a member of the Hong Kong Sailing Team, raced at several world championships in the 29er, B14, Enterprise and 470 classes. Joe has obtained very good understanding of yacht performance dynamics and performance characteristics thru his sailing experience and countless sea-trial experience. He also has extensive knowledge and understanding of yacht layout and equipment installation. Joe studied Economics and acquired his Post Graduate Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management at the University Of H.K.

Director – Julian Bethwaite
Julian is a multiple national and world sailing champion, an excellent boat designer, an outstanding organizer and director of events and business related with sailing. Julian started his career as a sailing athlete since 1974 and he has won various champions of sailing on different classes. Julian started his career in design and he has won numerous awards in design; In 1978, Julian assisted Ian Bruce and his father, Frank Bethwaite in the design of Laser 2, and he continued his design with B14 skiff and B18 skiff, etc. By 1993, Julian's B18 has dominated the Sydney skiff league. In 1994, Julian designed the 49er and 2 years later the 49er was made an Olympic Class for Sydney 2000 games onwards, and then from 1998 to 1999 designed the 29er which has become an International youth class. On the other hand, Julian has been a director and organizer for various sailing leagues and championships worldwide. Julian also developed 9er group and is the sole owner and director of Bethwaite Design, both focusing on design and distribution of innovative boats all over the world. Today, Julian has 3 classes sailing at the Olympics, namely the 49er for Men, 49er FX for Women, SKUD for the Paralympics.
Julian studied Engineering, Industrial Design and Business in college and has various diplomas in CAD, 3d, Photography & Design.

Executive Director – Anthony Cheung
Anthony started off as the marketing professional in distribution operations in office equipment under Inchcape group back in 1994. Being one of the pioneers in the e-commerce industry, Anthony was the first webmaster of Cathay Pacific Airways during the period 1997 to 2000 managing the full range of Internet and eCommerce Websites' operation including the Oneworld Alliance for the airlines. In year 2000, he was headhunted by the financial arm of a listed company First Shanghai Group to set up and steer the Internet trading operations and businesses for First Shanghai Securities during 2000-2010 which recorded over 100 times of turnover growth via the Internet channel in the period. Anthony has been an active sailor since the year 1999, starting from Dinghy sailing to performance sport boat. Anthony studied Statistics in the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Production Manager - Sean Lam
Sean Lam is an expert in product design with successful track records of brand image start up and reinforcement. Sean is experienced to handle computer-aided design in 2D and 3D.
